Pension plan may be elucidated by citing the Government Notification No. AR 29/88/43 dated 08/06/1989 issued by Govt. of Assam wherein certain guidelines have been issued for handing over of Pension Payment Order to the retired teaching & non-teaching staffs of provincialised schools and provincialised employees of Panchayat & RD Dept following a time schedule.
- The time schedule is that the employee of the above category shall apply for pension six (6) months prior to superannuation through their HOO.
- The authorities of schools, Deputy Inspector of Schools (DIS),District Elementary Education Officer(DEEO),Inspector of School(IS),Deputy Director of Sanskrit Education(DDSE),Director of Madrassa Education(DME) & the HOO of panchayat department of respective Districts shall send the pension papers received from the employees to the Directorate of Pension, Assam six (6) months in advance of the date of superannuation of the employee.
- Directorate of Pension shall complete all the observations as soon as possible. Objection cases shall be returned for complying with the observations so that the Pension Payment Order may be issued at an early date and in the error-free cases the DP shall authorize Pension Payment Order within 3 months.
